Terms of Use
1. The service
FamilyFind helps a parent, guardian, or other authorized adult organize family photos and eligible videos on their own Android device. These Terms govern the FamilyFind app and public support site.
2. Adult use and authority
You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to agree to these Terms. You are responsible for having lawful authority and any required notice or consent to use each photo, video, child profile, and locally processed face-related information. FamilyFind is not for accounts independently created or used by children.
3. Your photos
You keep your rights in your photos. FamilyFind is not a storage or backup service. Keep your own originals and backups, and do not use unlawful, exploitative, abusive, or intimate content.
4. On-device matching
Reference photos and selected eligible media are processed on your device. Results are estimates and can be wrong. FamilyFind does not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Review every result yourself; do not use FamilyFind for emergencies, official identification, surveillance, law enforcement, or decisions affecting someone’s rights, safety, access, or opportunities.
5. Account and acceptable use
Use only an account you control. Do not identify strangers, stalk, harass, discriminate, bypass safeguards or usage limits, interfere with the service, or violate privacy, intellectual-property, or other law. We may restrict access to protect people, the service, or comply with law.
6. Permissions and exports
During initial setup, FamilyFind requests full photos-and-videos access through Android, before sign-in. On older Android versions this uses the applicable storage permission. Automatic Find and Video Find remain optional even though media access is requested during setup. Revoking access blocks affected features until access is restored. Copies you explicitly export to an Android photo album remain under your control there and are not removed by FamilyFind account deletion.
7. Optional feedback
Optional feedback is never required to use FamilyFind and must not contain names, photo details, health information, or other sensitive information. Feedback can be used to support, secure, evaluate, and improve FamilyFind; it does not transfer ownership of your media.
8. Availability and changes
The service may change, pause, or end. Material legal changes receive a new document version, reasonable in-app or web notice where available, and renewed affirmative acceptance when required. Silence or merely keeping the app installed is not acceptance. Nothing in these Terms reduces rights or privacy commitments because a feature is new or being tested.
9. Account deletion
You can request secure deletion in the app or at the public account-deletion page after recent sign-in confirmation. The trusted backend removes the FamilyFind cloud identity and directly linked cloud records. After successful in-app deletion, FamilyFind clears its account-related local data on that phone. Website deletion cannot directly erase Android app storage; clear FamilyFind storage in Android Settings or uninstall on any device where local data remains. An optional account-deletion reason does not delay deletion and is scheduled to expire after 30 days. Account email and name are not automatically attached to that reason; do not include personal or sensitive information. Deletion does not remove your Google Account, exported gallery copies, or non-personal public legal-version metadata. The Privacy Policy explains temporary security, retry, and provider records. While deletion is processing, sign-in to that FamilyFind account is temporarily blocked; try again later or use another Google account. Once deletion finishes, you can return using Continue with Google and the same Google account. Deleted FamilyFind data is not restored, and there is no 30-day waiting period.
10. Disclaimers, rights, and law
To the extent permitted by law, FamilyFind is provided as available and without a promise of uninterrupted operation or matching accuracy. Nothing excludes non-waivable consumer, privacy, or data-protection rights. Israeli law applies without overriding mandatory protections or consumer forums where you live. English and Hebrew are both provided; if they differ, the interpretation that preserves mandatory protections applies. Contact us at FamilyFindApp@gmail.com.
